Hi Marcus,

First pic shows where the slide normally comes up against the back of the block on the slide nose casting. The mod was very simple and all I did was cut a step in the front of the slide so it sits over the block and comes all the way forward as in pic 3. Hope this makes sense.

Best regards

Dave

Hi All,

I finally got round to adding the hook and end plate set to my traversing ring. Also added some texture to blend in the 3 pieces of the outer ring.

I might actually get round to painting it soon.......................

Best regards

Dave

Hi Dave,
Makes perfectly sense! Do I also see a cut through the whole slide behind that slimmed down section? That was what I was actually planning, so the barrel sticks out more in front of the slide nose. I have not yet been brave enough to do that though.......

I think you also have a first on the platform! Totally forgot about my own platform! I brought it to the car shop next to me to have the ring sections welded together, it is probably still there....... Thanks for reminding me
I also asked them to spot weld the spokes. The kit spokes seem to be the wrong way around and changing their direction meant a new way to fix them (your hooks will then also face in the right direction). Also the position of the spokes on the rim posed a problem since they should meet at the 'teeth' of the rim.

Cheers,

Marcus

Hi Dave,

I appreciate that you may be wanting to turn your attention to other models, but being fundamentally lazy (and it has to be said nowhere near your standard of modelling), I was wondering if you had any plans to produce P59 / P60 projectile boxes or C206 cartridge boxes for the 25 pounder?

All the best,

Ian

Hi Ian,

More than happy to take a look if someone can provide pics and dimensions?

Hi Marcus,

The cut you see is where I cut a little too deep ;-)

I thought about changing the spokes but I have so much on the go I have decided to live with it for the time being. There is every possibility that will change in the future :-)

Best regards

Dave

Hi Dave.

Give me a couple of days to sort out the reference photos and copy the dimensions table from the manual and I'll be back in touch.

BTW, I'm only after the steel versions of the boxes, even a ham fisted bodger such as myself can knock up the wooden versions.

Many thanks.

Ian

Hi Ian,

I have found a source for an original C206 Shell box and also the smaller Fuze box. Shipped from Holland they are just over a hundred quid so before I buy them have you had any luck with dimensions etc. Also would like to know who would be interested if I do the boxes before I "shell" out :-)

Best regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

Apologies for the delay, I thought I would let you recover from W&P - however as you are raring to go........

I have put a little sheet together which includes all dimensions & should go some way to answering those awkward questions. When I figure out how to attach a pdf to these postings, I will share it with the rest of the group. In the meantime, I have sent a copy to your sales inbox.

Hi Dave……..

Just noticed your straps with buckles that holds the 25 pounder shovel and large rope that is attached on the front of the 25 pounder shield.

Could I order up a few of these for my own 25pdr.

Cheers
Ian
