Very nice indeed, how will you show the fan shroud/brackets that the water tanks sit on? They will need to be sliced! 8)

On the bottom of the coolant tanks, I created two shims to bring them to the right height (they can be eliminated or lowered if necessary).
The coolant tank is attached to the engine head with a bracket like the real one. I don't know, if that was the question, because I don't quite understand what you mean.

Phil, the fans aren't there,
there is no room to do them.
Anyway, on Wednesday I think I can start assembling an engine before I send you yours. So maybe we understand each other better.
The decals should also arrive on Monday.
Have a nice Sunday

The Leyland block colour has come to be known as Duck Egg Blue but the official colour reference for Leyland Engines is actually Sky Blue. For the exact hue, its specification under British Standard 381c is BS101. You can see a sample here:

This morning I collected the last pieces,
if there are no surprises, the engine is complete.
Over the weekend I will send the first one to Phil for the final test.
As soon as I have confirmation that everything is fine, I will be able to tell you the cost. Some photos to evaluate the "out of scale". The drawing is in perfect 1/6 scale.

Clearly, like all my engines, there is the possibility that some parts need to be slightly modified. In this case, I think it may be necessary to "thicken" this bracket. Having no tank, I can't calculate the exact measurement. However, a little plasticard on the sides is enough, nothing complicated.

That looks like a great addition to the Chieftain, can you tell me if the finished kit includes both radiators ?
