Hi Steve,
The Panther engine has many different pieces.
At least 5 reservations are required to produce it, otherwise I can not cushion the cost.
If you know 5 seriously interested friends I can do it at the same price as the P45.

Hi All,

Back to my rebuild

I have moved on to the cupola, and I am looking at adding the drain holes.

This drawing from David Byrden's site is the only thing I can find, does anyone have any dimension info, i.e. hole size distance apart?

Paul.

Believe "the Modelers Guide to the Tiger Tank" has a 1/35 template for the drain holes. That's if you can get hold of a copy that is.

Found this photo on another forum that shows the template being used. They used a 0.36mm drill bit at 1/35.

That should help Paul's cause John ,10 holes equidistant in 360* = 36* :D nice.

Thanks John,

I think I can make a template similar to that and I have some similar reference points 8) 0.36 mm hole at 1/35 scale would be 2.16 mm at 1/6th.

Looking at the drawings the kit made cupola is slightly bigger than 1/6th so I think I will start at 1.5 mm and see how it looks, I can always open it to 2 mm if it looks a bit small.

Only 9 holes Phil, one is covered by the hatch catch bar

Thanks Uwe, yes I keep noticing all these little details and thinking, why hadn't I seen them before

I know I've been quite over the last few weeks, but I've been studding away. On top of trying to get inf on the drain holes for the cupola which you have all helped with. here is anther bit of info if anyone is looking for it.
Cupola drain holes.jpg
I also notice that in the Early Tiger kit cupola there was a recesses milled in that shouldn't be there.

I will have to come up with a plan to hide it! :)

Hi Simon, Yes I do remember Doug's Tiger 1, it was a great model. I always remember the colour, it looked so right. There have been a lot of great builders on here over the years.

Paul.
