Always the way I'm afraid 
Whenever I'm going down to Bovington, I make a "shopping list" of pictures or dimensions I need, so that I can make sure I get them. Otherwise I usually only remember on the way home
Have you looked at the photo-etch sheets you can get from people like Aber or Eduard
Their instruction sheets may show how the box goes together.
