Panther U shackles.

Post by Eric Arthur Opperman »

Hey guys,

I'm looking for 4 U shackles (2 pair) for my 2022 release Panther. Heavy duty metal and with the bolts too, as I intend to use them to tie the beast down with. It just really looks naked without them. :D

I saw an old post from Mark Lawson who had some beautiful solid brass ones for sale. I did reach out to him just in case he still had some lying around, but haven't heard back yet.

One other quick question, was Werkstatt 5 bought by Armorpax?

Many thanks in advance,
Eric

I have sent you an email.

Some of my parts are sold by Armorpax such as shells and Kübelwagen tools, these are made in resin or white metal which is Dave's area.

Hi Eric,

I can supply zinc plated steel or solid stainless steel shackles with pin diameters of 4, 6, 8 or 10 mm. Attached are a couple of pics plus the whitemetal ones currently fitted to my Jagdpanther. The latter, however, are only for decoration and not any serious towing or tying down! I use the zinc plated steel ones when transporting the model then swap back to the whitemetal ones when unloaded.

PM me if you need any sending from France.

Best regards from Normandy

Graham

Hi Eric, l bought mine from a local hardware shop, steel ones so good for tying down, not expensive.
