Tyre Adhesive options

Post by Malcolm.Plumb »

Very soon I will be getting to the stage of gluing the tyres to the rims on my Panther.

I do have Loctite 480 here but would really prefer to use something with a bit more 'work' time.

Slow cure two part epoxy is my preference really.

Just wondering if this is being used or does everyone opt for the Loctite?

I use 2 part Gorilla epoxy and never had one come off yet. The thing you must do though is rough up the wheel rim and also rough up the inside of the tyre before gluing.

Dennis.
