Finishing off the head lamps. Has anyone got details of the headlamp conduit runs perchance , particularly the offside lamp configuration , also the strange conduit covers as the tubes disappear into the panniers ?

Moving along with the headlamp conduit, the mesh arrived today but I'm a bit concerned that we won't have enough!
If anyone would like a piece of mesh please let us know .

The mesh has definitely been worth waiting for. Phil W and I have discussed the fact we have more mesh than we need for the Cent and I am quite happy to make the mesh available to other modellers who may need some for their projects. PM Phil W or myself if you are interested.

Working on that conduit and there's still away to go with the headlamp ends but nearly there.
I thought it was time for a good "look see" so I've taken a few interim photos.

I've decided the winky pot should or rather could have it's own independent power supply, this cuts down on turret to hull wiring and I would think those four AA batteries will last for years.

Don 10 this afternoon with a bit of the canvas mantlet cover work, I doubt that this cover will be the finished example.

Phil (D) - you asked about patterns for the mantlet cover. I didn't make a paper pattern, I used a maquette technique using shirt weight cotton to make a pattern, snipping and cutting until I could pin it to shape. From that pattern, I cut out the final stiffer material. Have a look here:

viewtopic.php?t=3931&start=900

Sorry to say I didn't keep the pattern material. Pete Mallet helped very kindly with the miniature zips and you can also see the shoe cream I used to get the correct colour.

Phil, I do remember my wife saying I should pre-shrink the material if I was going to paint it or put shoe cream on it and she was right. I didn't and it shrank. I only just got away with it, mine could be a bit looser.
