Gutted carrier

Post by David Skeldon »

Building a gutted carrier to tow behind my Churchill tank, may turn it into a Conger at a later date

I picked up one of the partial UC kits at the Open Day to become a Conger.

One of my secondary school friends is part of the IPMS Churchill SIG, so it's been handy chatting to him at shows about the Churchill kit and the things that can be done with it.

Hi David and Adrian

I like the idea of the Conger. I too had a word with the guys from IPMS Churchill SIG and they were very interested when I showed them the documents and photos for the 8 ton derrick I am working on. None of them knew it existed or that it was used on the Churchill AVRE. We had a good chat and they had some great photos and original documents to look at.
I look forward to the gutted carrier/ Conger builds. It will make a great model.

Regards
Gary

Learn something new every day (almost).

Had never heard of the Conger before.

Very interesting.
