Well, I won’t comment on that. They are the only game in play at the moment, so just be pleased someone is doing something like this and maybe something else will come along of interest to you. It’ll be interesting to see if it’s one of the items that placed in the winner’s column of the survey….or something totally different.
I’m quite pleased. Just dreaming.

Whether it could be Challenger 2 , Leopard 2 , or M1A2 Abrams , the "scale thickness of armour" will be evolved to new definition.

Tricky that one for two reasons, firstly the armour on all three is composite so the thickness isn’t really relevant and secondly, the overall thickness of the armour arrays is classified, so anyone designing a model would be guessing.

So far all of Armortek's tanks are with the unique "Scale Thickness ", of either RHA (Rolled Homogeneous Armour) or casting armour.
Hope the definition can extended to the future model tank(s) that with the much thicker composite armour. I trust Armortek knows how.

It’s interesting in a couple ways since the actual 1/6 measurement does not scale evenly and there is art to the whole design.

Armortek needs to keep it fresh, but on the other hand, panda to the customer base.
Some models will always sell but eventually the interest will deteriorate if they are the soul line up.
I love the variation that they provided in the line up over the twenty years or so.
I like the lead in to the "next new model" the development, proto typing, entertaining cockup's mockups, putting flesh on the bones and the improvements.
There's absolutely No reason why Armortek shouldn't build iconic MBT's, or Infantry fighting vehicles. I may not like them as much as the curvy Chieftain which is my poster babe. But times are a changing, battle field equipment evolving. With resent conflicts over the last twenty years, new Armor has thrust it's way onto our home screens and with it a new audience of modellers, very few would want to build a Char B.
One could say how would Armortek continue with its "scale armor thickness" with a modern day armoured vehicle.
Well, it doesn't have to, as long as outer model plate is substantial, the modeller can add the ceramic rods, carbon fibre plates and depleted uranium tiles that some will have hanging around in the back of the garage on the frontal arc of the model if they want to.
Let's face it, very few models if any are built with actual armor plate. And how many Armortek lovers are going to section their beloved model just to show it off. (Maybe one or two rich ones) :D
So I'd vote (which varies on the wind)
l'd like to see a Jagd Panther because the latest Panther looks so good. Or a modern day MTB, (Leopard, just because I think it would be a bigger seller)
Variety is the spice of life.
I'm glad I was right about the Series 1, sold out before delivery's started.

Well I was 50% right and that's a pass in my book.
Alex, you must have pretty big shed. Winter and summer camo :D
There'll be one or two disappointed unique modellers out there.
But I forecast a swift sellout.
