Deutsches Panzermuseum Munster

Post by Christoffer Ahlfors »

As you probably already know, the museum will no longer host its beloved model exhibitions. Essentially it is because the museum has changed its profile. For the full, rather lengthy explanation, information is now available on their web page:
https://daspanzermuseum.de/keine-milita ... zermuseum/

The RAG (reservists) model club had a fantastic running area in the museum park, which they used for these special exhibitions, but also for regular shows on a bi-monthly basis. The club has been aware of changes coming and has acquired a barrack of its own since some years back. It allows for gatherings and also has a running area there, although not nearly as big as at the museum. The emphasis is on 1/8 - 1/10. 1/6 is a bit big for the area. I am not aware of any changes in their direction after the museum's announcement.

That is a real shame.
I had a lot of fun running my Armortek Panther there a few years ago.

Cheers

I have a lot of good memories there - but not only that it was a great way to visit Stahl auf der Heide for free AND be around all day, also before and after the event (and everybody knows the coolest things happen then!)
'Konan', my Tiger 1 Mid
'Gunther', my Panther G
