Nice to see your vehicle has arrived, happy building. Couldn't help but notice your Armopax jack and the aerial (I have just bought 3), they are good bits of kit. Did you, like me order extra road wheels?

I am going to ask you, as most will wish too, what's the blue box?

I received my kit, and started to go through the parts list..
Just a few bits
Had to stop proceedings as it's the misses 50th.
What cleaner/degreaser do you guy use prior to assembly?

Upol System 20 De-greaser is my go to cleaner,i have used a full 5 ltrs on my Tiger build so far

Be honest I would have been happy with either tiger/panther to be honest
I prefer the look of the panther however
I was also at the open day great bunch of people.
You won't be Disappointed going through the parts as we speak.
Hopefully have it done today start the build next weekend..

Hi All

Managed to finish going through the parts list thankfully, not helped by a few bags not clearly labelled.
I had an issue with part CH0149 Front tab and side tab were bent pictured in the manual.
Front one was bent flat.
I've managed to fix them thankfully.
All the road wheel front face bolt holes need Deburring I've done one so far.
Wheel on the left.
And the track links need excess flash removing inbetween the sprocket tooth guides.
These jobs keep busy for a while..

Hi All

Finished Deburring the road wheels fun job..
I've just put the 2 x Track link sets to go onto the turret, and removed all the flash.
I'm not sure they are correct as there are no instructions on weather you cut the split pins to a certain length or just bend them around the track pin..
Looked at my books really cannot tell unfortunately.
Also made a mistake as one of the sets I built wrong as the links go in a specific direction..
I have corrected it.
Just want to be sure before I build the tracks complete.

Lots of back tracking when I build so that’s normal lol. I trim the split pins but you have made them look pretty neat like that.

The pins are trimmed they seemed to fowl the track at full length.
And you're not wrong on the mistakes front
really not impressed with the instruction manual to be honest not helped having no experience with Armorteks.

To be fair the instructions work 95% no problem it's just some of the details.
However with the knowledge on this site it's makes all the difference.
And nice panther unboxing video like the purpose built man cave.

Hopefully, the Armortek team take note of what is being said in these forums and take appropriate action. It would be simple enough to update a set of online instructions that could benefit people going forward. Some people may not buy a kit for a considerable time or, as in my case buy it but have to wait a fair while for time to actually get started. I can't see a reason not to publish the instructions and update them over time in light of experience.
