What could warm my heart is an FT17,

or maybe a strange tank like a Sturmtiger.

A Marder.

Or as a close second a Sexton. You can recycle the 25-pounder and a few other bits already in production.

Something with a fully open area to detail and add figures that can be automated.

Or a Sherman ARV to compliment the Bergepanther.

M113 APC to go with the Easy 8.

I'm intrigued by most fully or semi tracked vehicles.

That said the one vehicle that just never grabbed me was that box or toaster on tracks... the M113.

Yes I know it was used all over and there are all manner of variants....but a box is a box is a box....

Surely if enough people want one go for it.

Jerry,
I agree. This is why I too thought a halftrack would be a good choice. If we keep with a German theme, let’s see a Sd.Kfz.10 (So many different little things to do with it) or a Sd.Kfz.250 Neu. The latter would be easier for Armortek, especially in it being comprised of a lot of flat plate. The earlier Sd.Kfz.10 though might involve some stampings….but much more attractive. The more I think of it….the more I like it!
I’m still an M4A1 Sherman fan….but economic times might benefit from a slightly smaller kit…especially if Kompact Kit parallels with a small Canon release…..(2cm Flak38, cough)

For me this is an option due to being able to accessorise it with figures. Particularly a Vietnam loadout. As a stand alone model I agree it's boring.

That's why I also like the idea of a gun carrier so that some additional of figures can be done to add detail.

Tanks are great but just having a head and shoulders poking out of a cupola is a bit done.

Oh and I like Shermans well enough. The first model I considered scratch building (in 1/10 scale) was a late type M4A1. In fact the very first aluminium casting I ever did about 30 years ago was for a late type (76mm) M4A1 upper hull - the cast hull. I still have that casting and one day I may yet turn it into a tank.. So I'm not opposed to a M4A1 - some really late ones did come with HVSS suspension if memory serves but VVSS would be more common. Considering that Armortek recently gave us the Easy 8, well another Sherman....?

German, British and American machines have been well represented in Armortek's line up and I like all of them as much as the next guy but something different, really different could be just the thing to liven the array up (not that it's boring now).

All the suggestions, modern/post WWII types notwithstanding, have been good ones, ones I would add to my collection surely. I don't know how other owners of 1/6 scale enjoy their models, fairly certain they don't play IR combat with them (do they?) as the 1/16 scalers do so the issue of opposing forces' vehicles probably doesn't carry any water in 1/6. At the moment there seems to be a slight weight in favor of German machines although the Pershing will and surely the Churchill did help balance the scale. Still from what I can see nothing sells like any flavor of Panther or Tiger. A JagdPanther would make logistical sense with the new Panther in the pipeline.

I don't know how 'Kompact' it would be but a 12.8cm PaK 80 would be one heck of a sexy item to tow behind my Famo! So please add one to
the list. Also an American 155mm 'Long Tom' would make an interesting addition but that begs the question what could you tow it with!
As a kid I had the Panoramic gunsight for the 155mm ( my HS Trig teacher told me what it was 'cause he had used one in the war) and since I had to investigate that gun there formed an interest.

You know……I’ve been thinking about something for a long time now. I’ve always loved the tanks of WWII. I’ve always loved the German tanks in particular, but not exactly sure why. But, having said this, I’ve also been very impressed with their primary weapons, ie.,the 88 on the Tiger I, and the lethal 75mm on the Panther. Keeping with that notion…I’ve also been “Drawn” to the look of those Muzxle Brakes, on those two examples cited in particular. In keeping with this, I always thought how great it would be if a company made a 1:1 scale representation of either or both of these to have as a display piece. Then, a few years ago, and Asian company called “Pig Models” released the 1:1 scale models of the 88 Cartridge for both the Tiger I, and the King Tiger 88. Of course I purchased both….and thought how great it would be if the did the Muzxle Brakes as well as just a small section of the barrel to its rear. This small barrel section would display a torch cut simulated end, that would dramatically expose the diameter of the barrel, as well as its rifling. OK, I know I’m dreaming….but if you want to be really “Unique & Different”, I’d love to see something that I’m suggesting….what a great way to display the size and strength of these “Cats”! Please don’t yell at me….I just wanted to share my thoughts.

Small, US tank to me = M3 Stuart.
I’d also like to see the US M7 Priest….which they could do a parallel launch of the Sextant version too.

I know this may not be a very popular view, but I’m hoping for something other than another German WWII kit.

For me it would have to be CVR(T) Scorpion or Scimitar, size is small which should keep the cost down.

Failing that a Ferret, again cheaper and I’m sure Dave from Armorpax could produce some excellent upgrades.

And if all else fails, a re-run of the Centurion – Please.
