Re: Jeffs 25 pounder
I can totally see that now! So is the bottom of the box a battery? Or was the battery carried in one of the wood chests?Jeffrey Goff wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 1:41 pmHi Robert the box contains the lamps and cables to illuminate the range indicator, sight clinometer and dial sight to facilitate laying by night

I actually have a lamp set for my Vickers. Comes with all kinds of neat aiming stakes, etc. And lamps you could put out in front and at the touch of a button... illuminate everything you are about to mow down! It's a wonderful little set. I'll have to take a look at the cables, fittings, etc. to see what they look like. I bet they are not all that dis-similar!
Cheers and thanks!

Etched brass plaques, this is where I placed mine, but pictures show variation of placement

My photo host shut down a year ago and the pictures were lost to the forum, I found myself housebound today, so spent a few hours reinstalling them

Fantastic work! Congratulations on a fine build.
Really like how you have done the smaller head, closer to scale rivets throughout and the nomenclature plates fixed in the correct positions on the side of the No.3 Mk.1 saddle.
