Maybe, just maybe, Armortek could do some solid works teasers of their up and coming "possible" projects.

I'll post a variation of my usual post lol, Comet, Centurion, Panther G early or steel wheel Panther with the new resilient wheels, or an initial Afrika Tiger, plus, I'd like to see a CVR(T) for the chaps who have been patiently waiting and campaigning, time they got their 'Famo' moment.

Well when you give people options I think it would be worse because you will always have an outspoken minority that will poo poo the item they hadn’t asked for and ruin it for everyone else. Contrarily we might get our hopes up even higher for something that doesn’t pan out. I think Armortek is wise to make the decisions privately. Like you said ‘some’people don’t know what is best. If you really need an item scratch building is always an option lol.

Well in the end I hope the Armortek wizards satisfy what is most sought after with an eye to marketability. After all we have a vested interest in the continued success of Armortek so whatever sells is good. Eventually we'll all find what we're looking for an as was said scratch building is always an option for some if the desire is strong enough. In my earlier days the reason I got into machine and foundry work is because I couldn't find what I wanted. Building several models from scratch where I had to make every bit, especially patterns for castings is like building the same model twice. Pouring 10kg or more of aluminum has it's risks, risks that I'm not as keen on taking these days.

By request I was reviewing the emails I traded with the late Per Sonnervik over the years, some stretching back to the earliest days of our friendship in the late 1980s, In the most recent ones even he said the allure of building from a kit was increasing year to year and as age was advancing; fully scratch building was losing its luster. I concurred. Having to make every last bit wears on one if you do enough of them. I also have grown to appreciate kits more than I have in the past and I accept that what is offered is what is most in demand.

I'd planned to begin my next Armortek construction after the Lee. The arrival of my very long awaited 1/10 scale Maus sort of disrupted that
plan. Even in the smaller scale it weighs 58kg and while operable needs finishing, more scratch made parts are in order.

So I'll always accept what Armortek brings out next; I have my own hopes like everyone else very likely not so popular ones. If it's to be a modern machine if that's what is wanted then so be it. I'd be pleased for all those whose desires were fulfilled. Our final vote in that regard is that we're not obliged to purchase it....

Here's to Armortek's next model- whatever it is!

So I've been mulling this over about what kit might be the re release this year. With the newsletter mentioning the kit will be a turreted tank and maybe a re release, these seem to be the options to my mind, based on turreted tanks, that haven't been re-released recently:

Centurion
T34
Comet
Panther
Panzer IV
