OK,this may sound a daft question but after setting the angle what is the correct way to tighten up the torsion bars?
it would appear that i am bending the 2 side plates when tightening the cap screws of the fixed end,so must be doing something wrong
so do i insert and tighten the M4 grub screws first then tighten the fixed end,or does the fixed end tightened fully after setting the angle correctly, then tighten the torsion bar grub screws last?
this may sound very simple and easy to some but just want to get this correct before the bottom hull gets too heavy to throw around
any help most welcome
thanks
Donald

Re: Torsion Bar setting up question
Hi Donald
Have a look here where I described how I did it but does not mean it is the only correct method:
viewtopic.php?p=61038#p61038
It says that I set the angle of the swing arms at 33 degrees but later on changed the angle to 30 degrees:

Re: Torsion Bar setting up question
I notice that these new kits does not include the star/lock washer used on the bars end. One might wonder why, did they not work as planned or...? Should we include them or aren't they necessary?

Re: Torsion Bar setting up question
I converted my 2010 model to adjustable suspension á la Armortek and without washers. The screws have to be tightened quite a bit to stay put, but it works. Oh, mine are tightened from the outside only - I understand there are versions tightened from above and beneath as well.
A little too much is about right...
