panther loaders hatch
can someone provide details on how to build the scale rear hatch. i have seen some great pictures however i'm not sure how the latch and lock was made

Here's a rough image of what I did. I never got any photos after I put the lever-arms in but this illustration should give you the idea and you can see one of them in the photo of the real thing.. Mine is based loosely off the real thing.
I layered Styrene on both sides to create the channel and dovetail slide for the locking bars. hope this helps
NOTE: Lever arms are not installed in these old photos
Good view of the pivot mechanism on Jacques Littlefield's. Also note the swing arm is parallel to the deck on the real thing.
