the wheels on the Armortek 222 are quite flat and with a large boss machined on, like others I have altered the front profile, and bored out the centre, then added a hub to the wheel boss, I forgot to take a before picture of the wheel face, but have taken one of the wheel boss.

Hi Bob, no body filler, just made a tool and scraped them to shape, I had almost a carrier bag full of shavings, the 20mm central holes I cut with a flat wood boring drill, I am sure any engineer reading this has fainted, but that's the fun, working out how to do something,
regards
Jeff
I can see your off to a good start Jeff. I like the idea of using the flat wood boring drill. I guess its not good for much else now but I do the same. I finally painted my barrel clamp yesterday but the cold weather is back again now, which makes painting a bit difficult. I will try some shading and dry brushing tomorrow.
Jeff,
This engineer isn't fainting at your idea of using a wood bit to make a hole, but I would be affraid of it ripping it out of your vice or support and flinging it against the wall!
Sometimes the best part of engineering is finding an add lib solution.
