FOR SALE: Armortek Panzer III (SOLD)

This 2009 series Armortek Panzer has just been converted from a stock ausf.L into an Ausf.J Command tank (Pz.Bef.Wg.III Ausf J) of the 11.Panzer Division from April/May 1943.

It has been modified to use the short 5cm L42 gun which ive only seen on one other Armortek tank.
This is also to the best of my knowledge the only Panzer III Command tank built to date so is totally unique and very striking with its 3 antennas.
It has been finished in a slightly faded Panzer grey paint with full unit markings applied but no weathering has been done on the tank.

This Panzer III has been extensively converted and improved with a lot of scratch built and aftermarket parts.
This includes Steve Winstone working headlights, spare wheel holders, cone head bolts and castellated nuts plus a lot of Armorpax upgrade parts such as cupola hatches and turret hatches, tools and rear lights and then Werkstatt 5 - 1.4m, 2.0m stab antenna and a Star antenna.

It includes a driver figure (head only) and a Dragon tank commander.

Will also include the original Armortek manual plus docs for the sound unit and I will also include a jar of the grey paint used on the tank in case you need to touch up the paint work.
There are also a few spare track links and track pins and a few other original parts that were removed from the tank during the overhaul.
It has full motion pack with a 24v smoke unit and a TBS Mini with a 60w amplifier and speaker and also has a flashing coax mg.
The sounds are currently setup to work with a Rotary Encoder on my Spektrum DX9 and can be shown working.
This has been completed to a very high standard and is a really good runner.

You will be hard pressed to find another Panzer III built to this level of detail.

Would prefer a UK sale with the buyer collecting although I could deliver if required if buyer covers costs.

I am not really interested in any PX deals as I am selling this so that I can order the JagdPanzer 38T when it becomes available.

Sorry Steen, I did see your request but i am needing the money for another project which is now way overdue as i was not expecting to be still trying to sell it for 3 months.

It seems like everyone is buying new tank kits rather than 2nd hand built tanks these days.
Maybe with Armortek releasing more new models each year and having a ready supply of them off the shelf has slowed down market for 2nd hand tanks.
Or, it could just be that no one wants a Panzer III command tank.

Either way, it is now causing me a problem.
I am sure I could sell it cheap if I HAD to get rid of it but I am not prepared to burn that much money.

Looks like my other project will have to be shelved which is a shame.

Seems like the market is very slow at the moment.

I've recently bought two complete built kits significantly under £3k, one with full motion pack, although neither came from the original builders.

There was a complete Tiger on Ebay recently which was advertised at £2558 plus unknown reserve, sat with no bids for a week and was then removed from sale, so I would imagine someone made him an offer under that.

Maybe Panzergrau is currently on trend for bedroom walls but not tanks ?

Too many choices and more people want a project (like yourself) vs. a complete model. I would love a finished model like this IF I hadn’t bought three kits AND it could arrive at my doorstep. Trade you for a universal carrier kit?!

I need a larger home; either that or make the expansion room I've been dreaming of...
