Stunning Photos from the Bundesarchiv on Wikimedia

Post by Rich Stinchcomb »

This link was posted on the WAF, but I had to post it here for those who may have missed it. In it are thousands of war time photos including all types of tanks and vehicles. The stress and sadness of war can also be seen in many of the faces of the civilians.

To sample one page: Fantastic pictures of Tiger's in repair and in the field

Some truly great diorama ideas as well.

Thanks for posting Rich

I saw those a few weeks ago and what a great source. It's neat to see not yet seen photos that accompany a series of ones I have seen in books.

Hi Rich

Thanks for sharing those pictures with us, it was just what the doctor ordered for some final detailing work and answering some unanswered questions.

Happy new year

Thanks Rich,

your note pointed me to download quite a few images to my Tiger I and uniforms detailing photo database. I can always find time to add a little this or that to my Tiger (or have Lee do it for me) :)

Happy 2009, and to all a good night.
