Quad 67

Post by John Wiggins »

I bought a Quad kit plus Armorpax extras this summer, thanks Adrian. Started to build the cab until the
motor and electronics arrive.

.....it worked, including the sound.
I’m amazed, the last time I did a radio control installation was over 45 years ago (crystal controlled on 27Mhz)
Now to start work on the chassis.

Has anyone got access to photos of a quad in northwest Europe from D Day onwards.
I’m after markings of a vehicle I can use on my quad. There seems to be very few photos of them in Normandy.
I originally wanted one with 3rd Div markings but 3rd Div field regiments used sp guns in Normandy.

Regards
John

Progress on the chassis so far.
The main motor is run in, I’m happy with the steering and the winch moves slowly.
I still need to sought out a suitable cable and find out how it is threaded onto the winch drum.

Trying to work out where to put the electronics and see what cables need extending.

(Speaker and power cables to the motor need extending)
