S-Mine System

Post by Vince Cutajar »

Today I was browsing the tiger1.info website and using information from there I made a 3D model of the launcher and mine which should complement beautifully the information on that site.

Thanks guys for the comments.
Paul it was mostly a drawing exercise. If you want the file for the mines I can send it over. The diameter of the mine body is 18mm.

Hi Vince, thanks for the offer, unfortunatly I've no 3D printer. After I put the post up I wondered if I still had the marials to make them with and I have, so I will do some more when I have time.

Beautiful work...

Can someone explain to this Edwardian-era technologist how this system was deployed? I see how it works as a launcher. But what would be the tactical use? Be able to surround a tank with anti-personnel mines in case they were trying to swarm a tank? Sow minefields?

Or were they launched and when they hit the ground, they would spray balls, again to stop infantry?

Just curious how these were deployed.

Thanks...
