2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY

Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Been a while since I have updated this thread but have only just got going on the project again. Had gotten fed up of it so put it aside for a while as it was seeming like more of a job than a hobby. So time for a fresh approach. No tank model is perfect and there will be errors in the build but so what. Forget about trying to get it spot on and just relax and enjoy the build flaws and all.

As this will be Tiger 214 just after Kursk when it had been overhauled it would have been in good condition and not yet beaten up but just a bit grimy.

Road wheels fitted. Sanded tyres and lightly weathered the wheels.

Sprockets assembled and weathered. Button head bolts replaced with hex head bolts. CNC marks ground off. Hubs modified with the sunken oiling / grease ? plugs. Centre bolt recess filled as the centre domed bolt wasn’t recessed.

Idler wheels have had the CNC marks ground off. Still need to sort out the hub mounting bolts.

Tracks assembled and fitted.

Spare track mounting bar on the front test fitted and step added. The step was welded on not bolted so countersunk the mounting holes and ground the heads of the screws flush and a bit of filler and then the weld detail added.

Coming along nicely now.
John
