M2.5 x 30 hex bolts, where to find?

Post by Scott Boyd »

Looking to buy some M2.5 x 30 hex head bolts for my KT build. They are for building the wheels. I looks all over the interweb with no luck. Any idea where I can source the bolts?

Cheers
Scott

Hello Scott!

Try the Knupfer company. Other sizes that are not listed in the range can also be requested there.
Maybe you can be helped there.

Hi Scott

I had the same problem when building my late Tiger 1 which uses the same kind of wheels as the King Tiger.

You will not find commercial M2.5 X 30mm hex head bolts. At that time, these guys:

https://www.ekpsupplies.com/

had something similar but it was a 7BA thread and one size smaller head size. Unfortunately when I enquired I was told that they did not do international deliveries so hopefully you live in the UK.

Did another search this morning and found another UK stockist which sell the exact same bolts which are 7BA X 30mm with one size smaller hex head.

Vince

p.s. 7BA is very close to 2.5mm.
Suspect you may need to get also 7BA one size smaller nuts for these.

Thanks everyone! Vince, I found the 7ba x30mm bolts with partial treads late last night from ba-bolts and ordered some to test. They also sell the 7ba “smaller size” nuts so I bought a few of those to. I’ll let every know how they work out!
