Famo Bolts

Post by Walter Mackinnon »

Hi all, just started my Famo build ,but when I came to fit the bump stops to the brackets I coud not find the M6 X 10 grub screws.
They are not listed in the fasteners list, are they in a separate bag or not in the kit. Did other builders have the same problem?.
Regards Walter.

Hello Walter,
Well, that is not a good way to start your build. Occasionally Armortek mistakenly leaves out some parts. Usually bolts or other hardware. They are very good about replacing missing parts but I usually just go the hardware store and purchase them. I don't recall those parts missing in my kit.
The FAMO is a challenging build. I think it is much more difficult than a tank model. Have fun with your build.

By the way, since you are at the beginning of the build I would mount the drive motors before you bolt the two halves of the frame together for the last time. I did not do that and while it is possible to mount them later it is very difficult.

Hi Walter,
Same thing happened to me. But since it is just a few grub screws. You can either:
(1) If you can wait for a few days, ask Monique to send them to you , or
(2) If you don't want to wait, then go to your local hardwares store to get some.
I just attached two photos shown to Monique
