1/6 Tigers storm Country estate!!!
hi antony
the canopy is over a football pitch at a college in Northwich, but is being taken down as we speak. You could soon put sides on it, or it may have sides, I don't know. I was told yesterday that it cost £20,000 four years ago, and they are selling it for £850.
I beleive the canopy is now sold, a pitty as it would have made an ace covered running ground.

Hi .
I am not really following this to be honest, if we are looking for an all weather running ground where we are never stopped by the weather why arn't we looking for a friendly farmer with a big empty barn or perhaps a large warehouse? the added bonus there would be that we would never be bothered by mud or the grass being too long or even the wrong type of grass! i for one would prefer to stick with the outdoors as it is and lastly i cannot imagine that we would have recieved permission to errect a glorified poly tunnel in the grounds of a country estate.
Just my thoughts.
Paul.

Hi Paul,
Don't worry, a couple of those pegola tent thingys will have to do The main thing is to get an area that we can go to 52 weeks a year if we want and has a few hills, man made or natural and with parking.
A friendly farmer now that is a thought if Leighton Hall don't come up with somethng, maybe we could spend a few hours next time asking some in the area
Thanks Antony

Hi Antony
Pictures of a running area that I use in Preston. Motorbikes have been on it but now there is signs to say no motorbikes (but it doesn't say anything about tanks).
Hi Paul
Yes you were right to notice that I uploaded pictures 3 times then deleted them. As I couldn't enlarge them, now you can look at them without a magnifying glass!!!!!

Hi Paul
Its at the Docks at Preston, Riversway Motor Park, easy to get to and very quiet. The ground was hard with the frost in most of the areas, but you know me, I wasn't happy with the hard bits I wanted the muddy bits near the water.
I just ran my tank down the grass verge at the side of the road to get the mud off, then staight in the back of my van (I've bought a van yesterday so no problem about messing up the car). Regarding the mud, just similar to Leighton hall, but a bit more sandier.
But as you can see from the pictures there are plenty of good hills. It would be nice when its dryer.
Richie
P.S. Your tank looks well with the heavy frost behind it.
