Chieftain No 12 shake down on 75th Anniversay of VE Day

Post by Andy McMath »

Just a quick taster of my ongoing build but just had to get it out on VE day. The grass is starting to grow again!

That's the downside to all the shows being cancelled, you don't get to run on other people's grass !!

Great clips Andy, is it going to be a Berlin camo Chieftain?

Love to see more clips, panoramic, let the better half drive it around so you can be director of photography, give the suspension a workout on the neigbours lawn and flower beds

Would be nice to see it showing off it's options, turret, recoil and flash etc 8)

Yes Berlin camouflage, Just started spraying, it’s taken me a while to get what I hope are the right patterns and am just about to head in to my garage/workshop to tape up for the white.
I am back at work now but the 2 months on furlough allowed me to progress the tank quite nicely 😁

Lucky you, though I have been bogged down on the tichy bits. And long waits for parts.
Richard Goodwin is probably the guru Berlin wise.
Sorry Richard but you do know your Berlin's
I always thought there'd be more Black n Green's being built.
So far three Berlin, Three Sand brown n Green, one possible Green n Black and a Iranian Sand Brown.
Unless someone knows better :D

Hi all,
I am in awe of all the work everybody is doing on the Chieftain.
I am one of the recently joined, with Chieftain No. 34 being my first Armortek model.
To John's comment, mine will be a green & black scheme. I apologise now to the purists, I may be somewhat freelance with my model.
Alternatively: Pink, anyone got photos all round?
Cheers all

Charles
Chieftain No.34, functional. PKW IV (2002), operational. Panther G No.18 (2022), started, well some of it is. Series 1 4x4 No.28 and a Bailey Bridge.
