Was this a standard mount for the BV?
Where abouts would it be located?

That is the correct position. The BV tray slotted into two receivers on the turret ring.
If memory serve me correctly when the main armament recoiled it cam within a couple of inches of the BV.
There was no where else in the turret for it to be stowed, especially when firing on the move.

Steve, you’re right, it is the correct position but I don’t remember ever firing with it in position. I don’t think the main armament would reach it on recoil but it seriously got in the way of the loader, especially if he had to clear a rammer out or change vent tube mags. It usually went in a bin when going to action.

I got my mini fantastic Armorpax opening BV the other day, looking forwards to building it when I get some slack time, say.... 2025 :lol:
