Re: Engine L60 for Chieftain
Hi Stephen,
thanks for the information.
I want to clarify that, in any case, the engine will not be in perfect scale, it will be adapted to the size of the tank, there will be compromises to be able to accommodate it.
A greeting Ivano

The radiator designs are complete, only the front handles are missing. Please tell me if I have forgotten something or if there are errors. Thanks Ivano

Re: Engine L60 for Chieftain
Hello to all,
is someone able to tell me exactly how it is written?
Are there any other labels on the top of the engine or filters that I can reproduce in decals?
Thanks Ivano

Re: Engine L60 for Chieftain
Ivano, these should help. I regret to say that L60 failed me once too often and when the last one blew its liners and started burning coolant, emitting a large and very white plume of smoke, I levered off the L60 maker's plate on the top cover. I kept it for several years but in a Marie Kondo moment, I thanked it for being part of my life and slung it into the bin. I regret that now as I could have nailed it to my Chieftain for an extra note of authenticity
Best regards
Stephen

Re: Engine L60 for Chieftain
Thanks Stephen,
some photos were already in my possession.
On the coolant tanks I read this:
quite right
LML TD
FV 530065
C 1898
left
LML TD
FV 860181
C 2028
under these numbers I see three circles united. Below them, two other engravings that I do not distinguish.
So I need to know what's written on the red labels.
If you help me with this information, I can reproduce it.
Thanks again Ivano

Re: Engine L60 for Chieftain
A first assembly, the pieces are not glued, there are still many changes to be made to the drawings. However, there are many trade-offs in the measures, due to the "out of scale".
The upper grill is not yet cut.
Please, give me your opinions thanks.
