So I could let it sit around and be a tripping hazard or put it in storage or I could sell it.
I am sorry to hear that you might get rid of your Tiger 1 but I know that feeling. I guess mine will end up in the house as a static model with the rest of my scratch built models.

Don't know how You Tube works but at the end of the day one will always loose money.

A youtube video needs to get a ton of views to make money. And it depends on the type of content. There are some creators that can make a couple of thousand dollars with a million views and then some only make a few hundred. It just depends.

How about setting up a shelf in the garage or workshop to store all of your models? Costco has a nice heavy duty rack right now that could easily hold a bunch of Armortek models for about $120.

I'd love to have a Tiger 1 but I want to build one myself rather than buy. I do like how yours turned out. There's a lot of love in that thing, you sure you can't find a display stand or something and put it there?

Brian,
If you are certain you want to get rid of it, I'd recommend just selling it on the forum. As many wise folks have said you won't get exactly what you have into it, esp time. But you can get a pretty decent price on the Forum. I've sold 3 on the Forum very quickly, with no issues, and decent price. There aren't that many Armorteks that come up for sale in the US, so you could probably get rid of it pretty fast. My first recommendation is to keep it! I've regretted selling the three I did sell. As Adam mentioned get some shelving. Having these on the floor in the house is a bit of a pain. The biggest problem with having a fleet of 1/6 models is the storage space to keep em <aside from the cash outlay>.

Many folks on this forum buy a kit, build it and then sell it to fund the next. I'm not that disciplined, but its a great way to build more models and share the hobby.

Best regards,
Bob

Just set up a raffle.... WIth permission of the bosses here, you can perhaps advertise tickets.

We do that all the time on another forum. Often the 'Mods are more 'receptive' if there is some level of charity involved. Some proceeds going to Bovington, for example.

Not sure what the rules are in Jolly 'Ol England... but on a small scale, I am sure that the Chancellor of the Exchequer has better things to do than bother you1

Just a thought!

Cheers,

Sirhr

Hello friends, I have just filmed a 13 minute clip of my office and posted it here in the top post. The point of the video is to show the work I have done so far on the model and lay out the plans for it in the future. If the channel gets enough traction I would love to give it away for free!

Thank you for supporting.

Brian
