Hi Kian,
As the subject above. I was watching the threads continuously, and wonder why there is no Chieftain kit available in the "Shop" branch , before found today that it is already "Sold Out" .
Is there still any chance to order one?
Is the sold-out Chieftain available from any buyer?

Re: Is the Chieftain really sold out?
It was sold out six months ago after a week the kit was announced! I am one of the lucky ones on the list.

I stand by to be corrected by Monique, but I understand within a week of it being announced, the full production run had been reserved and deposits had been paid.
From speaking to her at Tankfest, the "standby" list should a purchaser drop out was at over 50%

OK. My question now became as " Does any buyer wish to sell his Chieftain kit?"
Thanks.
Thanks.

Ah ha , A business request!
This is where the stock piler comes into his own.
I'm sure in a few months time, when the very long heavy and intrusive boxes appear on the door step, there might be some that kinda think was this was not a such a great idea. There may be a few that might think, where's that lap top and that wanted notice.
I shouldn't worry too much, I'm guessing their'll be at least another run, with glitches solved and production stream realigned for ease, just like the real thing. Think KT 2008ish a better model 2013ish and the excellent up grade 2019ish?
That's the dammed (forgive the blasphemy) problem, when you think you want an Armortek model and you've made the decision on funds and space and and......you find they've sold out.
Armortek have eased this or made it worse (Depending on the spouse) with the part payment scheme, buy now, worry later.
I'm sure the stock pilers will keep a couple under the extensive well maintained well equipped bench, in a beautiful workshop most factory's can only dream of, or kept a few in a secret location next to the Tesseract and the Holy Grail.
As yet there are no T55 and T62's to worry about at the moment, there could be, who knows?
But a little cute cruiser could be on the offering to support the M3's and fight off those hordes of panzer III's, or the panzer IV when their appearance is due.
So no worries.

Re: Is the sold-out Chieftain available from any buyer?
Whether it was me mistakenly thought the Chieftain will be released AFTER the King Tiger 2019 version,
or it was really released on small amount basis, I do regret to miss out the chance to build a tank with Horstmann suspension.
I keep on watching it, and wondering why is there only one prototype building thread started from April, i.e., 4 months only.
All of other threads were on either the real tank in services or some on non-Armortek's kit. Always think it will be another Armortek's great project in 2020.
Anyway, late is too late. Better back on my King Tiger 2009, Elefant, and the big FAMO.

Re: Is the sold-out Chieftain available from any buyer?
Hi Chang
I have no doubt you'll be able to purchase the Chieftain soon, I'm guessing the short sell out time line far exceeded expectations.
Many thought it would and the speed of the sale caught many others out.
One of the sexiest tanks ever designed (The E type of the tank world ) was sure to be a winner for the short term.
That Famo should keep you busy for ages
So don't worry, I'm sure Armortek won't miss out on the chance to supply.
