If any one is making them I would like a set too. The down side is it may well stop my tracks squeaking!

Is it these spacers - but with a waist so that they don't rub on the tyres ?

I could probably write a program to machine them out of aluminium or steel on my CNC lathe. I've done some stainless steel machining as well but the finish isn't as good as I'd like.

I've been looking into it but one of the snags is that the axle for the sets with the single wheel on the outside has the innermost spacer as part of the steel axle, so I think that axle will also need to be remade, in steel, as a thinner shaft and then the reduced spacer added in aluminium.

Hi Adrian
that will make it a more heavy workload for you to do and a more expensive of course, but would it be doable ? and if yes - what will the pricing estimate be per tiger set.

Hi all

Well, nothing came up to solve the problem with the 2003 wheel spacers so instead Poul, a local member of panzerteam denmark, sat down and designed new spacers for my Tiger 1 2003 edition.

The result is very promissing, as I can complety close the wheel setup without any dust and moist coming into the axle part as it could with the old designed spacers.

Also I solve the problem with the wheels rolling the opposit way around and the wheels will be locked together as one single unit.

Pictures will follow with the spaces installed

WIth a help from a club member who is a skilled 3d print / CAD guy, made theese new spacers for me.

I do not have to change anything on the existing 2003 wheels, which is perfect for me as I do not have access to the heavy CNC machines.

THe double wheel got 2 bearings glued in and the outer wheel one bearing also glued. Behind the double wheel is a brass washer to secure that the unit doesnt lock to the wheel axel backplane.

as you can see its almost Formal 1 wheel spinning - now I only have to make the changes to the tank. The wheels in the videos are my spare / test wheels
