Hi David,
Your tiger is coming along nicely. I have two table lifts and I would recommend going for one that has the higher lifting capacity, mine are rated at 600kg and have never let me down, they also do not sink over time like some do.
Paul.

Re: Tiger 1 build, mid 2010 no. 27
Hi all
been awhile since I last updated, have been busy with life stuff (getting married, holidays and work). However I now have a week off and have progressed my Tiger on nicely.
All the road wheels are fitted to both sides along with the idlers, I had real fun fitted it all together and now have a rolling chassis.
I have been busy with the sub assemblies too, both sprockets are built and in primer, exhausts are assembled and in primer. I and concentrating on the front of the tank at present, drivers viewport is built and fitted along with a bit of clear plastic to simulate the glass.
I have reworked the kit front mud guards and am very happy with the results, Steve Winstones slide bars finish it off nicely.
I am going to start the task of zimmerite tomorrow so with me luck, been putting it off for long enough but got to the point it needs doing now.
Quick question to you all, does the kit come with a snow shovel? as I cannot seem to locate mine.
Thanks all happy building
David

Hi David,
Great work on the front mudguards. Not sure about the snow shovel, if its not there I would check your pack and parts list.
You got married? An Armortek model is a very demanding mistress, are you sure your new wife is happy to share you with it??
Paul.

An interesting question. The CAD image on the front of the manual shows one on the glacis plate, the Details CAD drawings show one (CE0628) with a clamp (CL0639) but the shovel is not shown in the parts list.

It did come with a set of Armorpax tools, but the shovels were all wrong for a tiger. You need to make something better anyway.
Cheers

Yeh i noticed that too Adrian, thats why I asked the wider community as I bought the kit untouched from the previous owner and was surprised I couldn't find it.Adrian Harris wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2017 10:29 pm> does the kit come with a snow shovel? as I cannot seem to locate mine.

Evening all
I just realised I have updated my build log in some time! unfortunately unlike the excellent logs some of you keep, I am too lazy with the camera and just end up doing lots of jobs until I think 'I should have photographed that!'
Anyway an update, I have pretty much finish construction on my Tiger so the building phase is 95% complete. I am moving house soon so once that is out of the way I will be tackling the camo and weathering of the beast.
Until then enjoy the photos attached and to all those who keep your build logs up to date, keep up the amazing work!
