I started by chopping the overall base height virtually in half, then after staring at my screen over a cup of tea, it dawned on me that the lower base could be incorporated into the new cupola mounting cage reducing the height further! He had even less space on the Commander's side, so I made a thin mount that allowed the figure to lean either by a servo in the mount or in John's case the figure's arm pushing and pulling on the cupola ring.
So now I have a choice of figure mounts available depending on the functions you require and space available. I have also added a control card box to keep everything neat and tidy.
The next thing to play with is a gyro so the figures will tilt back and forth automatically as your tank undulates over rough ground.
