I'm not sure if this article has been discussed already, but check out the Summer 2008 issue of CNC Machining. Nice writeup on Armortek on pages 8-10. Issue 41 Summer 2008 CNC Machining

As said a good article. Finding machines at the right price that are reliable is very important. My father has a very worn Myford ML7 lathe and wanted it reconditioned, but Myford were not that interested and the price eventually quoted was more than some new lathes with better capabilities!!. He's buying a new lathe and giving me the Myford, so does anyone know of any firms other than Myford who recondition these lathes??
