Lights and Radio

Post by Tim Bowman »

Hi all,

I'm trying to get working lights and machine gun strobe on my Panther.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to hook up a rear convoy light and front Bosch light to be activated by a switch on my radio? Also, how does one hook up a strobe to work in conjuction with machine gun sound effect?

Thanks for any help

Tim

Hi Tim,

I used a normal servo connected to a on/off switch with a stiff piece of wire to activate the lights. Used one of the non proportional channels (gears or flaps in a normal 6 channel radio to activate this.

The strobe is connected directly to the Benidini unit - without a flasher unit. Note the the strobe is polarised and will only work if plugged in correctly. You can safely experiment with this to see which is which (I did, without any harm) The machine gun is activated with the toggle method as described in the Benidini manual

Cheers

Gerrit
