Smoke unit on 222

Post by Ad Wouterse »

Hi guys,

Has anyone of you installed the smoke unit on your 222 ?
I have been fiddling around to get the black flexible smoke pipes fitted onto the external exhaust pipes.
I have tried the "hot water" method and even a gasflame to soften the plastic pipes, but they simply won't fit on. And then of course remains the problem of fitting these two within the exhaust cowl at an almost 90 degrees angle.
Any comments will be most welcome.
Cheers,

Ad,

Did you succeed getting the smoke unit plumbed in :?:

Is it the same unit as supplied in the tanks, and if so how well does it fit into the 222's hull :?:

Looking at Patrick's Gallery pictures, there doesn't seem to be much room left for it ...

Adrian.

Hi Adrian,

I did manage to do that, but I am still not happy with it.
I will make some pictures shortly.
