Looking for someone to rebuild my King Tiger for pleasure and profit

Post by John Caboche »

Hi,

As the title says - I'm looking for someone to rebuild my King Tiger for pleasure and profit.

I'm sure there was a section somewhere on the forums where potential builders/rebuilders advertised their services - I'm obviously misremembering or I'm too thick to find it....*

I lack the technical know how and, more importantly, the time to undertake this - so I'm happy to farm it out.

Currently the tank has a jammed gearbox/motor** on the RHS - I suspect new motors will be required and possibly a rewire. I'm also looking to get the barrel elevation mechanism fitted as well which I have.

I'm actually happy to repaint it myself - funnily enough I enjoy painting things with the airbrush and quite fancy having a go at the beast. It will make a change from blue space marines I suppose....

The tank is currently residing in South Devon at my mum's place - I'm happy to transport it as I can just stick it in the truck (as I have a well trained Para to help with heavy lifting).

If anyone is interested please drop me a PM and we can start discussions.

Mods - if this is in the wrong place please feel free to move it.

All the best

John Caboche

*delete as applicable....

** God only knows - it's not moving however....
