Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.
So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.
We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.
Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.
I've done this one in photo stages with paint brands etc on FB. Will also be adding it to my Tutorials section on the website. Hopefully with Stephens excellent Aussie Cent thread and Phil's Limber etc some of these techniques are now being explained. My techniques are from numerous different tutors and over the years I have amalgamated them into what works for me.
Dave, a real pleasure to see such a realistic and masterful model. It's up there with the very best. Thanks too for putting your methods on Facebook. As you say, it might encourage.
Weathering is a personal preference and I've had some private comments on my Cent along the lines of "don't spoil it with weathering". I guess it's a question of whether someone is more interested in the technology represented or the model itself or more interested in a scale model as a representation of a real, operational piece of kit. I very much take the latter view. You've done it superbly, I can sense the Tunisian landscape (or Italy?). (I'm only going by the date on the ammunition, 1943, by which time the desert campaign was pretty much over). Kit in context. That's what weathering does. It's entertaining to do as well, adds to the overall value of the investment in time and effort.
See you at SW Model Show. Hope you'll bring the PAK.
and thank you all, I have done a bit of a tutorial on this on the Armorpax website if you want to have a go. Stephen and some of the others have also done very good guides on here.
