Post by Ivano Costantini »

Self-propelled gun 75/18 M40 Royal Italian Army
I do not have much material yet to show.
Laser cutting of the metal hull has begun these days
I will show it as soon as it is mounted. At the moment I have 3D prototypes of the train and the tracks.

The wheels will be metal like everything else.
The photos are just 3D prototypes to check the measurements.

It is still a non-definitive prototype, with many things to be reviewed. Just to check the dimensions

Superb model !!

Do you have any plans to create the M13/40 tank upper hull ?

I've always liked the Italian armour from the Western Desert campaign, after being given a copy of Donald Featherstone's "Tank Battles In Miniature" when I was about ten.

Hi Adriano,
at the moment we try to make this version the best one.
The rolling train is not easy to achieve fully functional like the real thing. If we succeed, replacing the casemate with the turret, it will not be a difficult thing, it is already in our programs.
We are not industrial, so it will take a long time, but I think that sooner or later we will succeed. We do not know what kind of interest there may be for these tanks. In Italy the 1: 6 scale does not exist, and abroad we do not know if they like Italian carriarmati.
Thanks Ivano

Beautiful work. I thought the suspension photos were the real tank. Magnificent.

I agree with Bob, also the paint finish is exceptional, although not weathered the paint looks just like a full size recently restored AFV in a tank hall!
