TankFest 2018

Post by Adrian Harris »

So, next year it's officially over three days.

Up till now, was it possible to get in with just an annual pass on the Friday ?

Adrian.

It was, as I have done it, but Tankfest was only the Saturday and Sunday in the past.

Many thanks for the heads up. The advance notice gave me the opportunity to get tickets and accomodation before the prices shot up.

I managed to get three day tickets for my father and I, plus accomodation there nearby at a B &B at a reasonable price. Also got a 3-day ticket plus accomodation for my brother again at a reasonable price. A mens weekend away
Pity they do not do a veteran´s discount. All three of us would qualify with 22 years service each and all three of us have the LS & GC.

They used to do a discount for people of a certain age, but I think the current greed of the revamped management soon put a stop to that!

Not sure where everyone is going to go, with that new building in progress.
They seem to be rapidly running out of space.

That sounds rather negative and maybe unnecessarily so.
Although they do not do a pensioners discount, they do a veterans discount if you look for it.

Also if disabled, the carer gets in for free.

A day ticket gets you a free annual pass ( not valid for special events )
A special event ticket gets you a free annual pass.
Do other museums in UK allow you to pay once per year for however often you wish to visit ?

I am looking forward to Tankfest 2018 and am happy with the price of the three day ticket .
I also look forward to meeting some of you then.

Mark

Hi Mark, I know of a few other museums that do offers like this.
Museum of Army flying allows a free return visit within 12 months.
Same for the Light Infantry museum in Winchester.
I cannot remember if Duxford did a deal when i was there in january.
