Help please is there a easy way to do tow cables

Hi all
I am trying to think of an easy to make up the tow cables for my tiger and i have tryed different idears but there must be a easy way.

Hi Andy, there's no easy way you just get better at doing it the more you make. You might want to use slightly longer copper tubing as the real things tended to be a little longer ( check the Net for size) .
If you pull the cable right through the tube then grip the cable ends in the vice and push the tube right up tight to the cable eye insert, then use epoxy or solder if your ok with using it ( be aware that some of the cables have a nylon core which will contaminate the solder!) then carefully cut the cable end flush with a grinder , fill any voids ( car body filler is good) to neaten it up and form a nice taper around the eye end of the tube, clean and paint.

Hi Andy,

It depends whether you want to make it yourself or and have someone else do it. There are other after market replacement in the Craftsman's Market and I think Armortek now do one. It maybe an option if you are struggling!

Hi

Armortek do supply made up tow cables with the Tiger 131 kit. Just need taper detail added.

Another way may be to make your own tubings like the ones for my Jagdtiger (hunting tiger, foreground). The delivered ropes (background) didn' please me:

I have not done them yet here in jersey we are very limited to stuff we can buy. I am also geting some other 1/8th and 1/6th tanks and halftracks plus other stuff ready for a show on saturday 16th. I will update when i do something. Regards Andy Quirot
