Interesting to see the wear of the chevrons on the Vimoutier tiger. From photos I could find of Tigers in action it always seemed to appear the wear on the chevrons appeared on the outer side, which seemed counter intuitive. Would they have changed them around? Bob

Hi Bob,

No! The Tiger1 Track link / sprocket outfit was so that the track link inner side could not be mounted to become the outer side as might be done on the Panther.

Kind regards
Kent

Hi Kent yes I would agree. But then why were chevrons more worn down on outer edge of tracks in many WWII photos?
Best wishes Bob

Just received the tiger 1 track link from Kent. Very impressive when you get the real one. Will sent the caster for production. But I think it will take 4-6 months. Will keep on updating.

Hi,

Great work on the tracks Kent & Vincent, for me steel tracks are a must have item when accurately produced, my panzer 111 and tiger will both be equipped

Unfortunately my king tiger fitted with olafs steel tracks can not be run in the garden anymore due to the chevrons making one hell of a mess of the lawn

Cheers
