Superb day out at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton Air Day, organised by Denny Patterson. Five owners and twelve models shown to over 20,000 visitors, who also saw a bit of flying. Thanks to Denny for the hard work involved in organising, selecting the prime pitch, setting up the Armortek stand and providing cake, to Chris Hall for attracting the crowds (more on that below), to Steve Stuart for cream teas (it is Wimbledon fortnight after all) and for Dave Battison, who dragged himself away from the VIP enclosure to show his models.
Prime pitch beside the USAF C-17, with unlimited running area.
The only way to watch the Red Sparrows:
The USAF C-17 creaw, from the 315th Airlift Wing, Charleston Alabama, were outstandingly friendly......
A deal was struck - you get to drive our tanks, if we can load them onto the C-17:
I can guarantee that this is the first time seven tanks have been loaded onto a C-17.
There is video but that might take a while. Adrian, sorry you couldn't be with us.
Finally,
Stephen

Re: Yeovilton Air Day - Airmortek?
That proud American lady certainly enjoyed posing with my new animatronic female tank commander ....
It certainly was a great day, with all thanks to Denny for setting it up. Driving up into the cavernous C17 was a privilege, and a memory to keep for many years ....
And, as you're punning with the company name, and going back to that proud American lady ..... Amourtek ?
All the best,
Chris

Brilliant, glad you got your photo-op
I have over a thousand pictures of 'bloody planes' as Denny delicately put it and only one of the tanks but it was great to see you all.
