I'm sure you and Kian will take Armortek forward as you make it your company. Gill and Mark will be a tough act to follow but have given you a great foundation to build on.
Will be interesting to see what new models come out as well which updated re-releases of course. Maybe some newer subjects?
Congratulations Monique and Kian on your takeover of Armortek. I've followed the changes and growth of this highly respected and community orientated business since 2003 when it was based in Daventry with Jon Spalding's involvement but it has been Mark and Gill that have built the business into the leading 6th Scale military vehicle manufacturer that it is today through nothing less than 7 day per week commitment. I have often been surprised to receive response to my emailed questions from Gill on weekends and late evenings!
They will indeed be a tough act to follow but this is a great community with a loyal following and we all look forward to the new ideas and kits that are to come in the future. I personally would welcome a break from Panthers and Tigers if possible in favour of something like an ultimate HVSS Sherman amongst other's (sorry, just had to get my plug in there).
Anyway, I wish you much success for the future and look forward to what's next whatever it may be
To Gill and Mark. Wishing you every success for the future, whether it be retirement or a new venture.
Hi Monique and Kian, welcome and congratulations. Mark and Gill set the bar quite high, but I am sure you will raise it even higher. It looks like a "win win", you have an exciting new project, the Armortek community has a future and Mark and Gill get some well deserved " Mark and Gill time"
Can't help wondering what they will do now, not ready for, pipe and slippers yet !
Wishing you all the very best whatever
Its sad to see Mark and Gill taking a back seat, I still remember the long conversations with Gill when they took over, it only seems like yesterday.
Its good to know all this will carry on, so hello Monique and Kian. I will be in touch soon, I need a new part. Thor my so helper has eaten one of fifel tubes!!!
We welcome new owners Monique and Kian and wish them great success with this fascinating 1/6 scale hobby! It is good to know that Mark and Gill will still be connected. I would personally hope for the future: US Sherman HVSS tank, Super Sherman, US M3 Grant/Lee tank (as in the Humphrey Bogart movie Sahara, German Sdkfz 9 halftrack, a US towable M114 howitzer(155mm, 1941)-or-similar.
Mark and Gill were always so helpful to deal with! They have 'Set The Standard' of 1/6 rc vehicles and will be GREATLY MISSED. And I wish the NEW owner Wonderful success in carrying on the tradition!
And as for 'new' releases that would be different and interesting from only WWI/WWII:
An M113 Armored Personal Carrier (Vietnam and used by lots of countries today)
M47 or M60A3 tank (Korean War or Vietnam)
OR a 1/6 D11 style dozer! (THAT would appeal to BOTH the military AND construction equipment rc community)
Mike
ADDED: Yeah John (post below), that armored D11 is exactly what I was referring to! If the dozer kit was purchased by a rc construction equipment operator, all he'd have to do is leave the 'armor' off and paint it yellow. But us 'tankers' would add the armor, OD paint, and then show it and/or use it to maintain our 'tank areas' out back (or push the snow off the driveway in the winter...)

I do not think we have anything to worry about with customer service. It looks to me like Monique has it well covered.
I wonder if you will post a more detailed introduction of yourself to the Armortek Community ?
Just some surnames are not directly convincing to spent thousands of pounds...
Gill and Mark have set the level quite high and you have an enormous busy time now, but a bit more about you and your plans would be much appreciated I'm sure.
Under Tension like a bow and so exited to see the new Kit on the weekend
Will it have a trunk
All the best wishes for a good start and a successfull future from the Cologne Area,
