Armortek Event - TankFest
It's that time of year again.... To quote the Tank Museum advert:
Join us for the world's biggest and best live display of historic armour, living history and much more at the Home of the Tank - The Tank Museum, Bovington.
TankFest 2017 takes place on 24-25 June. Armortek will have our usual presence with a dedicated stand area, a large outdoor running area close to the tank park and the arena, aerobatics (by Denny) and lots of tank interest. Guest vehicles will include the World's only running Saint Chamond, a Churchill, Jagdpanther and Sturmgeschutz. The trailer is here:
At this stage, we just need to know if you'd like to attend and for which days. If you can let us know what model(s) you intend to bring, that would also be helpful. (PM preferred or email/post).
TankFest is an advance ticket only event, which is already selling out. For anyone attending both days (highly recommended), do remember accommodation in the Bovington area is always busy at this time of year. TankFest is as ever a great opportunity for the Armortek community to gather and catch up with each other.

Both days, please. Certainly with Liesel, and probably the Panther as well.
All the best,
Chris

Thanks to all those who've replied so far. I'm acknowledging by PM or email rather than clog up the Forum so please don't think I'm ignoring any posts here. Best regards. Stephen

Hi Stephen,
As discussed previously I would like to attend both days with my usual non running junk if that's OK .
Should be down to just 25Pdr and Limber by then.
Best regards
Dave

I have personally given up hope that politicians who never experienced war first hand will ever realise that war is the worst of all possible alternatives.

Re: Armortek Event - TankFest
Thanks to all those who've registered. I'll shortly be sending the attendance list to the Tank Museum and after that it will be more difficult to accommodate any late-comers. There is a pressure on numbers this year as the public tickets for the Saturday are already sold out and Sunday is heading that way fast. If you're not on the list and want to go on either or both days, please let me know soonest.
I'll be posting the admin details a couple of weeks before D-Day but please note that although there is a programme this year for the Friday, we won't get access to the site until after 1600. If you need accommodation and haven't booked it yet, you may want to move quickly because there isn't much left available in the local area. For those of a more rugged persuasion, there will be a cow pat infested site available.
Looking forward to catching up in June.
Stephen
