Looking good Dave,

Now that you are back to making all those wonderful parts for the Morris 8.
Which pleases me as I am going to keep my 25pdr and Limber kits which is more or less finished now.

So I'm looking forward to buying your excellent parts for my own unbuilt M8 kit in the near future!

As you know I have put up for sale all my other Armortek model kits I bought and built, half built and some still in there boxes. At least I have got above to return to after my long haul with chemo treatment!

Cheers Ian

Hello Ian, tough news on the health front, best wishes and good luck. I often use model construction, particularly Armortek kits as a way of relieving my mind of every day problems and worries. Keeping those kits you have, gives you a focus and an aim in life. I have enjoyed your excellent drawings and followed your builds....all the very best mate.......Mick

Hello Michael,

Thank you for your kind remarks on my health issues!

Yes I do find it relaxing when building those wonderful ARMORTEK KITS, and spent many long hours to bring some of those kits to life!
To be sure I have plenty of other projects in mind, besides models and upgraded drawings I create when I improving them to a high standard.

But first I must take this chemo treatment on soon, and hopefully come back to finish off my 25pdr and
Morris 8 later on this year!

Cheers for now…Ian from Glasgow

Hi All,

Almost finished the exterior. Just the various cable rollers to do and the front D rings on the chassis rails.

Best regards

Hello all,

I saw Dave's Quad at the model expo at Bovington on Saturday and the upgrades look even better in the flesh, good eye for detail.

Regards

Dave

Hi All,

Good progress today on the Morris Quad interior. New Battery tray and fittings, brake levers etc., some of the floor detailing and new air cleaner. Also re-profiled the fuel cap housing to match the side panel cutout. These will also be included in the update set.

Best regards

Dave

Hi All,

New seat cushion castings and transmission tunnel etc fitted. I think we are down to Dashboard, interior light, internal locker covers, rifle clips, wiper motors, front window stays, chocks and cable rollers. All being well I am hoping to have the kits out end of April/early May.

Does anyone have a good pick of the 2 chocks carried under the rear of the vehicle?

Best regards

Dave

Hello Dave,
there are not many pictures of these chocks, heres a couple that show them but cant find one that shows how the front of the chock is secured, you can see in the last picture there is a frame running side to side on the chassis and that holds the adjustable securing bracket, hope this helps a little.

Hi All,

Rather than the fixed covers I normally use on builds I have decided to make this one variable. I have added rare earth 10mm disc magnets to points round the seam of the cover. It can know be positioned open or closed and still sits properly.

Best regards

Dave
