Left side pannier
I have had my JP for over a month now. In that time I have built step 1 about 20 times. I have done it so many times I could do it with my eyes closed. The problem is that even if I do it with my eyes open the left pannier always remains over a 1/4 of an inch away from the rear panel. The gap is so big that the rear deck doesn't even touch and would fall in if not for the deck brackets. What am I doing wrong? I have tried turning each bolt in sequence a little at a time as instructed. Then I tried left side first, right side first, bottom first all to no avail. Any help would be appreciated, Bill

Hello William
It sounds like you have a twisted box so nothing fits. You must build on a flat and level surface. Every thing will line up. Due to the Nature of the Jagd and Panther it is a bit of a puzzle but it will go in. Also have you got your panniers mixed up? The way to tell is that there is two holes at the front for the mud Guards. Hope this helps

Hello William ,
sounds like you have a similar problem to what i had . check the pannier floors . Put them back to back, and see if the lip is the same on both and that they are a mirror image of each other . if they are not identical , then thats the problem
If they are not identical then you may have to elongate the holes in the pannier floors, this will allow you to "move" the sides in until the fighting compartment roof and rear deck are a good fit.
pm me if you need more info.

Hey William, I encountered a similar problem assembling the hull, but mine had to do with the front. My RH pannier side fit perfectly with the glacis plate but my LH pannier side had an large gap between it and the glacis plate. When I put both pannier floors back to back I noticed that the front 5 inchs of the lip was not bent far enough back. Not having access to a brake press I used the next best thing-a vice and a hammer. Worked like a charm.
