Hi all.
Just finished cleaning and etch primeing all the metal parts.
Not had any problems with assembly with the parts painted.
Regards Walter.

Chris, thanks for the tip. I'll give that a go and let you know how it goes.
On the up side, the gearbox fell together with their greatest of ease. But stone me it's a heavy lump when finished. I'm almost glad I couldn't afford the bergepanther!

Thanks to those who made helpful suggestions I have now solved the steering problem. It took a bit more fettling than I was comfortable with,as a plastic modeller, but the result was worth it.
Problem solved...... on with the build.
Now about this radio control malarkey...? :?

Can anyone out there tell me how I can fix the two Towing Latch Springs so that they don't launch themselves across the room at the first opportunity? :|

I've spent quite a while looking at walkarounds on the net and I've not seen any tow hitches with springs attached. They all appear to be as below:

Phil, Adrian

Yes, it is correct that the full size tow hitch has no springs. But if you run the model like that, the weight on the 25pdr will flip the limber off the tow hitch.
