Martin no the inside of the hatches was to be painted the same as the outside this is so when the hatches are open they don’t stand out from a distance with the potential of drawing fire.

Which abteilung will you assign your Tiger when completed.

Martin, I may be wrong, and will stand to be corrected, but I believe that the 'Filler Caps' on the rear deck ought not to have weld lines as they are designed to unscrew. If I am right now's the time to unweld them! Steve

Hallo Steve,
Hello Paul,

I think the welds are ok because they don't weld the caps but the flange for the caps.

Of the 3 Tiger I and a Sturmtiger I have inspected there is a weld line around the fuel and water filler caps, the Late model Tiger will be leaving Munster this year if it has not already done so if you have chance take as many pictures as you can, the Sturmtiger at Munster is based on an early model chassis but still has most of its original features on the engine deck.
Martin will this be a early production or a mid-production Tiger.
