25 PDR WALK ABOUT AT CARLISLE CASTLE
Hi All,
Thought some of you might like to see my latest pics I had taken of a 25 PDR GUN that I came across while visiting Carlisle Castle.
Got busy taking loads of pics of this (Saddle 25 PDR No 1. Mk 1. version. Getting up real close checking out lot's of details to help me complete. or re-do some of my upgraded parts I made for my own 25 PDR kit.
Also after talking to a member of the museum staff who showed me where the 25 PDR Gun Firing Platform was kept, that belonged to the 25 PDR sitting outside at the front of the museum.
The gun itself is painted in a very high gloss green colour, although there are a few missing parts like the stowage bracket "Levers & Chains" that would keep the firing platform in place beneath the trail beams.
Cheers Ian

More pics to follow on after this first batch.

Keep them coming guys! Every time you think you know that piece in and out, a photo pops up that proves you're wrong!
My favourite artillery piece of all times (the L118 light gun is second.....hint, hint
